Remove MediaPipe
MediaPipe is one of the newest adware programs on the market today. Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna filed a lawsuit accusing Digital Enterprises with using "an aggressive, relentless and threatening" form of online bill collection. The Federal Trade Commission is also charging them with "unfair and deceptive" marketing which violates federal law.MediaPipe is available as a download from an entertainment site called Movieland.com. Movieland claims that you need their software to take advantage of their free trial access to its members-only content which includes thousands of adult movies. When the 3 day free trial is over, demands for payment to continue the service begin in the form of pop-up windows that never seem to stop. Movieland.com is denying that their software is spyware. It is also reported by users that they have never gone to the site to install the program, so questions are being asked of how it got on their computer. Don't confuse this with a SourceForge project called mediapipe that is an open source project for the Mac OS X. A statement was recently added to their home page indicating that they are not related with the company in anyway.
