BuddyLinks

BuddyLinks is an adware program that takes advantage of your buddy list from AOL's Instant Messager. It will send instant messages that contains advertising to all of your buddy's on your list. These ads are sent under your name. Now, you would not be my buddy if I kept receiving these types of messages.

To remove BuddyLinks, you can follow the below directions. If you do consider yourself computer literate or do not feel comfortable modifying system files, we recommend that you use Webroot Spy Sweeper. Spy Sweeper identifies and removes this program and many others that you probably do not even know exist on your computer:

1. Go into your Add/Remove Programs.
2. Look for PSD Tools ChannelUp v1.0 (remove only).
3. Click the button in the highlight that contains "Remove"
4. Open the registry editor
5. Navigate to the following entries:
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
6. Delete this value if it exists: "PSD Tools Channel"="%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\PSD Tools\ChannelUp.exe"
