Remove FlashTrack
FlashTrack is an Internet Explorer
browser helper object that that is identified as adware by
Webroot Spy Sweeper
. Flashtrack may watch the web pages you visit and anything
you enter into a search engine. With this information, FlashTrack may
redirect searches, replace ads from web sites with their own, and
might even change (or rather hijack) your default home page. You may have inadvertently installed software like iMesh and Overnet file-sharing programs that contained
FlashTrack or you may have just visited a web page that infected your computer with it. It registers itself as an IE add-on and runs every time Windows is started up.
FlashTrack goes by many other names including Side Step SideStep Flash Enhancer FlashTrack FlashEnhancer FlashTrack.
To remove FlashTrack is difficult because it creates over forty registry values that you would have to delete manually. Unless you are comfortable doing this, we suggest
that you use Webroot's Spy Sweeper
to stop these irritating ads from displaying.
Spy Sweeper identifies Flashtrack as adware so it knows to remove it and other unsafe spyware you may not have even known you had on your computer.
