Gator

Gator is an adware program that remembers information that you typed in. This product will track your internet surfing activity and send this information back to their servers. While they claim to not have any personal information, this will slow down your internet connection. We recommend if you do not feel comfortable removing it manually, we do know that Webroot removes Gator.

Try a free adware scan from Webroot Software. It is also interesting to note that Gator is one of the earliest and most widespread adware programs on the internet. In addition Gator will also present popup ads via internet explorer and other web browsers.

To remove Gator manually, follow the below instructions:

Look for the Gator program in your system tray.

Right click on it and choose "exit"

Go to your control panel and look for the Gator application.

Choose "Remove".

When the remove starts, you should see a check box that says "delete user information". Make sure you check this box.
