Remove ILookup

If you notice a strange toolbar in your Internet Explorer window, it may be ILookup. ILookup is a toolbar that is identified by Webroot Spy Sweeper as adware. This toolbar allows you to search the Internet and provides link buttons. It adds bookmarks to your Favorites menu, and may hijack your home page in Internet Explorer, and may display pop-up ads on your screen. Ilookup is also known by the names: Their web page contains pornography and it is believed many of the pop-ups generated by ILookup are pornographic in nature. It is installed on your computer by an Active-X download (possible downloaded from pop-ups). It can also cause the error “Explorer has caused an error in ineb.dll” when using either Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer.

The ILookup web page has an uninstaller that is supposed to remove the toolbar, but we are not really sure how much it removes. Removing ILookup manually is not recommended, as it can be difficult as cause much more problems. Try a free adware scan from Webroot Software to see if you do have ILookup or any other unwanted adware or spyware.
