Remove Keenvalue
KeenValue is operated by EUniverse. This is an adware program that may display popup adds on your computer based on your internet surfing activity.
EUniverse generally distributes itself using dialog boxes or through a java scripting errors. Usually adware and BHOs are bundled with various, free software programs.
To remove KeenValue, you can follow the below directions. For those who do not consider themselves computer literate or do not feel comfortable modify system files,
we recommend that you use Webroot Spy Sweeper
. Spy Sweeper identifies Keenvalue
from EUniverse and removes many others that you probably do not even know exist on your computer:
- You will need to shutdown your computer and bring windows up in safe mode.
- Open a DOS command prompt window and enter the following commands (depending on the version that you have you might not have this folder):
- cd "%WinDir%\System"
- regsvr32 /u "\Program Files\Incredifind\BHO\BHO.dll" (this unregisters the dll)
- regsvr32 /u "\Program Files\PowerSearch\Toolbar\pwrs0rbi.dll" (this unregisters the dll)
- cd %WinDir%
- regsvr32 /u qjpidbfg.dll (this unregisters the dll)
- del qjpidbfg.dll
- Go into your registry editor and look for the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
- Remove the KeenValue registry key
- Search for the additional registry key values and delete them:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Visicom Media\PWRS0RBI
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\eUniverse
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KeenValue
- Reboot your computer
- in c:\program files, delete the following folders (some may not exist)
- "Keen" folder".
- PowerSearch
- Incredifind
- Dynamic Toolbar\PWRS0RBT
- Go into your internet explorer and reset your web settings
- Do a search on your computer for file named "hosts"
- Open up this file and delete the line that says "12.129.205.209 search.netscape.com"
- Save this file.
