Remove 2nd-Thought

2nd-Thought also known as "SecondThought" is trojan horse application that may present adware applications and may place a registry entry on your computer to automatically start up a program named stcloader.exe. 2nd-Thought may manage files on your computer, and even transfer files to and from your computer. It is said that it also may utilize a program manager to allow a hacker to control programs on your computer. With the access, you may find that mass e-mails can be sent from your computer. It may run in the background, without you ever knowing you have it until your ISP gets a complaint or notices all of the suspicious IP traffic coming from your computer.

For those not comfortable messing with your computer, Webroot Spy Sweeper identifies this program as a trojan horse that should be removed from your computer.

To remove 2nd-Thought manually, follow the below instructions:

  1. Locate registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
  2. Delete registry value: "stcloader"="%System%\stcloader.exe"
  3. Do a search on your computer for stcloader.exe and then delete it.
