Description: CallingHome.biz installs spyware on a users computer by doanloading via an FTP server on a remote server. This downloader application is intended to download and execute remote file(s). The URL to the remote file(s) is stored in the resources of the downloader. When executed the application attempts to download the remote file via HTTP. Testing thus far suggests that the method this application uses for the download may well bypass any personal firewall software - the HTTP traffic is associated with SERVICES.EXE (legitimate system process, typically granted DNS incoming/outgoing in most personal firewall configurations). Administrators should block HTTP access to the following domain: static.callinghome.biz The downloaded file(s) are saved to the users Temp folder on the local system.
